Utah State University is on the prowl for a new president, and it's looking to its community for guidance. The Presidential Search Committee has announced a series of public listening sessions designed to collect input from students, faculty, and the wider public as they develop a leadership profile for their future leader.

The search is casting a wide net, with both virtual and in-person opportunities on June 12 and 13 for the USU community to weigh in, including for those spread across USU's 30 locations statewide and those who may be away for the summer. The sessions are aimed at shaping the official job posting and guiding the committee in selecting candidates. Interested individuals can also submit their thoughts through email at [email protected] or via an anonymous online comment, according to USU Today.

Steve Neeleman, search committee co-chair, is quoted saying, "Input from the university community and the public will play a vital role as we work to find the right person to lead Utah State into the future," as obtained by USU Today. He emphasized the goal of finding a qualified individual to support both USU's mission and the objectives of the Utah System of Higher Education.
