The Solano County Sheriff's Office is reporting a successful crackdown on illegal drug activity in Vallejo. Following a targeted operation, the Sheriff's Investigations Bureau seized a large haul of Xanax pills and firearms from an alleged drug dealer's residence. In a detailed operation hinged on corroborated intelligence and rigorous sleuthing, deputies implemented a search warrant and detained 32-year-old Vallejo resident Ricardo Caro, per the Solano County Sheriff's Office.

Yesterday, deputies uncovered a stockpile of contraband consisting of roughly 270 Xanax pills, a prescribed anxiety medication that is often subject to abuse, and multiple illegal firearms. The suspect was arrested at the scene and incarcerated at Solano County Jail.

The authorities have issued a stern warning to the public against using non-prescribed medications, stressing that even legal medications can be harmful if misused. "Many illicitly obtained or counterfeit prescription drugs, such as opioids, are increasingly being laced with fentanyl, a highly potent synthetic opioid that can be deadly even in small doses," the Solano County Sheriff's Office noted in their message. They also reminded that fentanyl-laced counterfeits lead to a significant portion of overdose fatalities.

While the investigation persists and further charges are anticipated, the Solano County Sheriff’s Office calls upon anyone with information on illegal drug or firearm activities to contact their Investigations Bureau at the Anonymous Tip Line (707) 784-1963.
