Giampietro Park is the place to be this Saturday if you're looking for a free dose of nostalgia. The Vineland Recreation Department is kicking off its summer concert series with serious throwback vibes, featuring an '80s cover band set to rock the stage. As per Vineland City's latest social media, '80s Revolution will "turn back time with a high energy show featuring music from a variety of genres including Rock, Pop, Dance, and New Wave hits."
Starting at 7:00 PM, attendees can expect to have their music cravings satisfied, while the South Jersey BBQ Boyz and Pete’s Sweet Treats food trucks will handle any other hunger pangs. According to Vineland City's social media post, it's set to be an evening where "the family and enjoy the fun" are both encouraged to mix with sounds of a decade long gone.
Regulars at Giampietro Park will appreciate how the space transforms with the influx of concert-goers, surrounded by neighbors and friends under the canopy of the park's greenery. Open spaces like this have long been a community cornerstone, a natural venue for gatherings that spark local camaraderie. While the concert series debuts this weekend, two more events will follow, extending the summer festivities.
And for those who are all about the 'Gram or living vicariously through their TikTok timelines, the event promises to be as much a visual throwback as an auditory one. With the energy of the '80s Revolution expected to pull locals into a retro reverie, the evening is poised to blend contemporary social media moments fuelled by decidedly old-school tunes.
