The Wake Forest Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources (PRCR) Department invites you to its Dive-In Movie event, where attendees can float while watching "Moana 2." According to a recent announcement on the Town of Wake Forest's official website, the night under the stars—and in the water—will take place on June 28 at Holding Park Aquatic Center, located at 133 W. Owen Ave.
Doors open at 8 p.m. and the movie starts at 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $7 per person, and only the first 100 people to register can attend. To reserve your spot, buy tickets in advance at wakeforestnc.recdesk.com (search “Dive-In”). A wristband from a pool attendant is required for entry.
You can relax by the pool or dip your feet in—it’s up to you. Seating is first come, first served, so bringing a blanket or chair is a good idea. Swimming is allowed during the movie, but the slide and other water features will be turned off to avoid distractions.
Snacks will be available at the concession stand, including chips, popcorn, popsicles, sodas, and water. Alcohol is not allowed, so leave it at home. For more info, contact Erica Shingleton, Athletics & Aquatics Specialist, at 919-435-9457 or [email protected].
If the weather changes, check the Town website, Nextdoor, or Facebook for updates. If you have the Town of Wake Forest app, you’ll get push notifications about any schedule changes.
