The Town of Wake Forest is stepping up once again with a complimentary Paper Shredding Event slated for July 14 at the E. Carroll Joyner Park, revealed in a recent announcement. According to a report by Wake Forest's official news update, folks can swing by between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. to safely destroy those piles of confidential paperwork that've been cluttering their spaces.

In an effort to streamline this community service, a drive-thru system is set to be in full swing, directing participants to enter through the main gates and to smoothly exit after dropping off their materials. For those planning to casually enjoy the park, they're advised to "utilize the Joyner Park Community Center entrance located west of the main entrance" and steer clear of the shredding activity. Limitations are indeed a thing, with each household or business being able to bring up to four "banker-box" sized boxes or bags of paper—but just once, so make it count, as per the Town of Wake Forest.

Not only does this event offer the chance to safeguard personal identities, but it also aligns with ecological conscientiousness. "All paper will be shredded on-site, then recycled," states the information from the Town of Wake Forest's release. Participants, however, need to make sure they've rid their documents of any non-paper items such as plastic folders or metal tabs in advance, to help keep the recycled output as clean as possible.
