Washington State Patrol is reaching out to the public for clues following a hit-and-run on I-90 that left two people injured in a vintage pickup. On June 14, a 1946 Dodge pickup was reportedly forced off the road by a white van near the North Bend exit. The occupants sustained non-life-threatening injuries. According to a WSP press release, the incident occurred when the van cut off the pickup, and the unidentified driver's departure from the scene is now under investigation, with authorities seeking assistance from the public.
At the scene, troopers discovered the vintage truck in a ditch, with the occupants having exited just before it came to a stop on the shoulder. As per the WSP bulletin, the driver reported that they were traveling eastbound when a white van, similar in appearance to a Chevy Express, suddenly swerved into their lane. The incident occurred around 4 p.m., and the driver of the van has not yet been located.
Anyone with information or dash cam footage related to the incident on I-90 is asked to contact Detective Todd Early at [email protected], according to the press release.
