
A 25-year-old man from Waterford Township was arrested after allegedly stabbing his 33-year-old fiancée. According to CBS News Detroit, the man called 911 on Friday afternoon last week and admitted to the stabbing. Police responded to a home on Hackett Street around 3:40 p.m., where they found the victim. She was pronounced dead at the scene by the Waterford Regional Fire Department.
ClickOnDetroit reports that Waterford Township detectives and the Oakland County Sheriff's Office are continuing the investigation. The case will be reviewed by the Oakland County Prosecutor's Office for potential criminal charges.
According to The Detroit News, the suspect was processed at police headquarters before being taken to the Oakland County Jail. A search warrant was obtained for the residence as part of the investigation.
