The Waxahachie Police Department is hosting the 911 Gives Back – School Supply Drop & Touch-A-Truck event, which is promised to be an engaging and action-packed morning aimed at supporting a worthy cause while providing family-friendly entertainment. As announced in a recent social media post by the Waxahachie Police Department, the community is encouraged to rally behind local students and the education system.
Set for June 28 from 9 AM to 12 PM at Railyard Park, located at 455 S. College Street in Waxahachie, the event will feature a variety of activities, including the chance to get up close and personal with emergency vehicles during the Touch-A-Truck showcase. Children and families can enjoy bounce houses, a splash pad, and an assortment of other festivities that are scheduled for the day. The gathering is not just about fun, but it's also about giving, as attendees are encouraged to bring school supplies to donate.
In line with giving back to the community, the event is accepting only school supply items for donation; no cash contributions will be taken. This approach ensures that the actual needs of local students are being met directly. The collective efforts of the Ellis County Sheriff’s Office, the Waxahachie Police Department, and other community partners come together in this initiative, highlighting the power of community spirit and the importance of supporting education.
