According to WISN, the West Allis Police Department received calls about the initial shooting around 4:30 p.m. last Saturday. Arriving at the scene, officers confronted the armed 72-year-old suspect. After failing to comply with multiple commands to drop the weapon, officers discharged their firearms, resulting in the man's death at the scene. Among the casualties was also a 71-year-old victim, believed to have been killed by the suspect beforehand, and another 71-year-old woman who suffered a "possible gunshot wound" to her neck and was transported to the hospital. West Allis Police Chief Patrick Mitchell described the area, "It's a very quiet neighborhood."
