The incident, which began last Thursday, unfolded when the woman, who resides near 14 Mile Rd. and Orchard Lake, alleged that her adult son had struck her and subsequently contacted authorities from outside their shared home.

The man remained in the condo, and the police were in communication with him by phone, endeavoring to achieve a peaceful resolution to the tense situation.
