
An incident on the M train in Queens today involved a woman and her baby being targeted in an unprovoked pepper spray attack, leading to a police search for the individual responsible. As reported by News 4, the woman, 25, cradled her 11-month-old daughter while riding the southbound M train towards the Court Square-23rd Street station when a man, having previously requested to use her phone, sprayed them and then fled. The severity of the attack was heightened by the vulnerability of its targets.
The victims experienced the effects of the chemical exposure and the subsequent shock before being taken to a local hospital for evaluation. According to 1010 WINS, they are in stable condition. Authorities are currently investigating the incident, and no arrests have been made at this time.
