A tragic incident unfolded in northwest Houston as a woman was killed following a drive-by shooting outside a convenience store. The Houston Police Department (HPD) responded to the scene at approximately 9 p.m. yesterday, where they discovered that the woman had been shot at least once by an assailant firing from a passing vehicle. This fatal encounter occurred at the junction of W. Tidwell and Guhn Road, an area that now bears the weight of this recent violence.
HPD Lt. Larry Crowson provided some details, mentioning that the victim was outside the store possibly on a bicycle when the dark-colored SUV or station wagon drove by. According to Click2Houston, multiple gunshots emanated from the vehicle, with at least one striking the woman. Despite the immediacy of the first responders, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The authorities are currently in pursuit of suspect information, combing through surveillance footage that may offer some semblance of clarity in this case.
