
A fatal rollover crash occurred in DeLand on Wednesday morning, resulting in the tragic loss of a woman's life. According to ClickOrlando, the accident took place around 8:30 a.m. on State Road 44, just east of Prevatt Avenue. The Florida Highway Patrol reported that a 2004 Chevy Silverado was being driven eastbound when the driver lost control, subsequently causing the vehicle to go off the roadway and overturn.
As a direct consequence of the accident, the unidentified female driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The details leading up to the accident are not yet clear, and authorities have begun a thorough investigation into the incident. In the wake of the accident, the eastbound lanes of S.R. 44 were reported to be obstructed to facilitate the FHP's investigation and to clear the aftermath of the crash.
In a parallel account, WFTV confirmed the occurrence of the crash, pinpointing the time at approximately 8:42 a.m. They specified that the woman was navigating east on East New York Avenue, again noting the location as east of Prevatt Avenue, when she appeared to lose control of her vehicle, run off the road, and cause the vehicle to overturn tragically.
