A 10-year-old boy in Crown Heights was critically injured after being struck by a Nissan van this morning, as reported by the NYPD. The collision occurred near Eastern Parkway and Albany Avenue around 8:40 a.m., when, according to PIX11 News, the van was traveling westbound on the Eastern Parkway Service Road and the boy was crossing the street. The child was swiftly transported to the hospital, where his condition has been listed as critical.
The incident was corroborated by Brooklyn News 12, which added that the child was taken to Maimonides Medical Center following the crash. The driver, a 47-year-old, remained at the scene following the incident. To date, no charges have been filed.
