A 22-year-old man died in a motorcycle crash early on Wednesday on E. Carey Avenue in Las Vegas. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department reported that the motorcycle struck a light pole. This was the 94th traffic-related fatality in the department’s jurisdiction this year.
A 2014 Yamaha V Star motorcycle was found westbound on E. Carey Avenue after a crash. According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the rider failed to navigate a left curve, left the roadway, and struck a fixed object after being separated from the motorcycle. First responders arrived and pronounced the rider dead at the scene.
The crash is being investigated by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s Collision Investigation Section. The victim's identity has not been released, pending notification of next of kin. More information is available on the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department website.
