
Early this morning, a tragic scene unfolded in West Baltimore. Baltimore City Police were called to the 800 block of North Carey Street around 1:30 a.m. following reports of a crash. They discovered a 26-year-old man trapped inside a vehicle, as reported by WBALTV. Emergency personnel from the Baltimore City Fire Department worked swiftly to extract him. Despite their efforts and subsequent transport to the hospital, the young man was pronounced dead.
The driver involved in the incident, having left the crash site on foot, currently remains at large. Police are urging anyone with information about the crash to come forward, with the Accident Investigation Unit leading the inquiries. Encouraging public assistance, police have extended their reach for clues.
