A tragic incident has occurred in South Bexar County where a 3-year-old girl was found dead in a pool during a family gathering. As reported by the KTSA, the Bexar County Sheriff's Office has confirmed that the young girl was found floating in the pool at around 8 p.m. on Thursday.
Despite the efforts of first responders, who arrived on the scene to find the girl unresponsive and immediately performed CPR, the girl was pronounced dead soon after. The incident took place in the 20300 block of Andesine Ridge. The Bexar County Medical Examiner's Office, swimming during the family gathering, has not yet identified the 3-year-old girl.
The Sheriff's Office is investigating the circumstances surrounding the child's death. KSAT reports that the girl had been swimming in the pool during the gathering but was later found floating in the water.
