
A fire broke out in Waipahu on Sunday, causing damage in a residential area. According to the Honolulu Fire Department, a 911 call was received at 1:48 p.m. Crews responded to a fire at a single-story home at 94-066 Leowaena Street. Ten units with 35 firefighters were dispatched. The fire was under control by 2:14 p.m. and fully extinguished by 3:00 p.m.
No injuries were reported, and all personnel were accounted for. Upon arrival, crews began an aggressive attack and secured a water supply. A search confirmed that no one was inside the home at the time of the incident. The fire spread to a neighboring house. An investigation into the cause of the fire is underway, with updates to follow once the final report is completed, as mentioned by the Honolulu Fire Department.
