The Akron Police Department has reported the arrest of three suspects in the fatal shooting of 15-year-old Javion Fort. The arrests were made this morning following a coordinated operation by Akron Police detectives and the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF). According to a social media post from the Akron Police Department, the Major Crimes Unit detectives were able to gather evidence leading to the identification of 18-year-old Jaiden Trone and two other juveniles, aged 14 and 15, as suspects in the case.
All implicated parties have been taken into custody and are facing charges of Aggravated Murder. Jaiden Trone has been placed at Summit County Jail while the juvenile suspects are being held at the Summit County Juvenile Detention Center. The collaboration between the local police force and NOVFTF proves pivotal in these situations, showcasing a joint effort to bring alleged perpetrators to justice swiftly.
In the statement released by the Akron Police Department, Chief Brian Harding acknowledged the efforts of both the department and their partners.
