An Aliquippa man experienced an unexpected and violent altercation while out for what should have been a peaceful late-night walk with his dog. According to reports from WPXI, the 30-year-old was walking his dog when he was struck by gunfire, suffering a wound to his upper leg; this incident occurred between 12:30 and 1 a.m. on Main Street, Irwin Street, and Reed Street.
The victim, who managed to reach an area hospital by 1:40 a.m., reported that the shots came from a passing vehicle, and after the assailant or assailants fired one or two shots, that person or persons sped away in a direction that remains unidentified. Audacy confirmed that state police have singled out no suspects thus far in the ongoing investigation.
The Pennsylvania State Police in Beaver County are leading the investigation and are urging anyone with relevant information to come forward. Anyone who has information about the shooting or may have witnessed any suspicious activity is asked to contact 724-773-7400.
