The small town of Lyons, Colorado, experienced a jolt of unrest last evening as an armed robbery took place at a local convenience store. At approximately 7:30 p.m. last night, an unidentified man armed with a handgun entered The Circle K. He managed to leave with an undisclosed amount of cash from the register, according to a press release from the Boulder County Sheriff's Office.
Witnesses described the suspect as a white male in his early 20s, wearing dark colored pants, a black and white hoodie with distinct angel wings on the back, and a blue bandana concealing his face. He carried a black "1911 style" handgun during the robbery, though fortunately, no injuries were reported. Law enforcement responded promptly to the incident, with deputies from the Boulder County Sheriff's Office and officers from neighboring Longmont and Erie police departments arriving on the scene.
Despite an extensive search with K-9 units and drones, the authorities were unable to apprehend the suspect, who had fled on foot before they arrived. Currently, the individual remains at large, and the investigation is ongoing under case number #25-03440. The sheriff's office has warned that the suspect should not be approached and urges anyone with information to call (303) 441-4444.
