An AT&T store in the 3000 block of FM 1960 Road was the scene of an aggravated robbery, perpetrated by two masked gunmen in broad daylight, according to Constable Mark Herman’s Office. Deputies, responding to the emergency call, arrived while the armed suspects fled the store and observed their attempt to escape in a vehicle. The situation escalated into a high-speed chase that ended when the suspects abandoned their vehicle and continued to flee on foot.
After a brief pursuit, deputies succeeded in apprehending Michael Lyons, the passenger, while the driver made a break for the cover of nearby woods and remains at large. Wearing masks, the driver left behind a scene of chaos, eluding the diligent search efforts of the constable's deputies. "Michael Lyons was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Aggravated Robbery," stated Constable Mark Herman, as reported by the Constable's Office. The bond was set at $50,000.00 in the 487th District Court for Lyons.
The constable's office is continuing its investigation and search for the driver, while encouraging anyone with information to come forward. They've also leveraged social media and technology to keep the community informed, directing residents to their Facebook page and urging the download of their mobile app, “C4 NOW,” which provides live feeds on crime, arrests, and traffic accidents in the area.
