According to WPXI, emergency crews rushed to the scene on Brushton Avenue shortly after 4:30 a.m., where they encountered heavy smoke pouring from the building. As firefighters battled the blaze, dispatchers reported that at least one individual had been transported to the hospital, with the specifics of their condition unclear.
The incident drew a swift response from multiple fire teams, struggling to bring the inferno under control in the early hours. Arriving on the scene, our photographer was met by a cloud of smoke billowing into the predawn sky, a testament to the fire's ferocity. WTAE reported that the fire location was near the intersection of Brushton Avenue and Bennett Street. However, as of 5 a.m., Allegheny County 911 dispatchers had yet to confirm any medical transports linked to the fire.
