Boulder County is set to provide a platform for its residents to better understand and navigate the complex landscape of behavioral health services. The county has announced a virtual community meeting, hosted by the Boulder County Community Services Department's Behavioral Health team, to be held on Zoom on Aug. 4.
The virtual meeting, part of the team's quarterly Spotlight Series, aims to give attendees a thorough walkthrough of the navigation services offered by Boulder County FindHelp and WellMind Connection. These services help individuals to not only locate behavioral health resources independently but also to assist them in finding suitable services when they are in need. The session is scheduled for 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. and requires prior registration, as detailed by Boulder County.
In addition to covering these resources, participants will be privy to updates on critical behavioral health system changes. These updates, concerning the federal, state, and local levels, will be provided by leaders from relevant organizations, including the Colorado Health Institute, Signal Behavioral Health Network, and the Colorado Department of Health Care Policy and Financing. Following the updates, there will be an opportunity for the attendees to directly ask questions. Boulder County Commissioner Claire Levy is set to attend, in her role as the lead commissioner for mental and behavioral health concerns.
Spanish interpretation for the event is available upon request, and those interested must reach out at least 72 hours before the meeting. For any information or inquiries regarding the event, community members can contact Michelle Webb at her Boulder County email address or find more details on Boulder County's Behavioral Health Roadmap at their official site. In a move to be as inclusive as possible, Boulder County has made it clear that anyone requiring an ADA accommodation should reach out via email or phone, preferably two business days before the event on Aug. 4.
