On Sunday afternoon, an audacious theft at the Gucci store in Livermore Outlets put the Livermore Police Department into swift action. Officers were called to the scene at around 4:50 p.m. following reports of a robbery. According to the department's release, the suspects made a grab-and-go heist, lifting several purses valued at $28,000 from the store’s racks.
The escape was as brazen as the robbery, with the suspects driving through barriers at the mall, adding thousands in property damage to their tab. Fortunately, the smash-and-grab incident didn't lead to a prolonged manhunt. San Francisco Police Department, in a display of seamless interagency teamwork, tracked and detained the suspects.
In the vehicle, aside from the stolen luxury goods, SFPD found something more alarming—a firearm. Though the gun didn't make an appearance during the robbery, its presence in the getaway car added a grave element to the crime. The suspects were 19-year-olds Curtis Jamel of Stockton and Crosley Stanley of San Francisco.
As reported by a social media post from the Livermore Police Department, the apprehended duo face charges for their exploits, with the stolen merchandise, and more significantly, the firearm in their possession.
