Brentwood has geared up its public safety team with the addition of three professionals who swore to serve and protect with integrity. Travis Crouch, a firefighter with valor in his past, now stands ready alongside two freshly sworn police officers, Julia Davis and Griffin Emrick, who are tuning their skills in the field, according to the City of Brentwood official release.
The ceremony, held on July 14, was a display of promise as Brian Collins, the Brentwood Fire Chief, proudly introduced Travis Crouch, as recounted by Brentwoodtn.gov. Coming from Chattanooga where he earned a Medal of Valor, Crouch's academic background in exercise science and healthcare administration from Union Commonwealth University adds a unique edge to his firefighting acumen.
On the law enforcement side, Brentwood Police Chief Jim Colvin presented Julia Davis and Griffin Emrick as the new officers while describing their unique backgrounds and qualifications. Davis, a field hockey player during her academic tenure, brings not just a bachelor's and master’s in criminology from the University of Pennsylvania in Indiana, Pennsylvania, but also a fresh perspective just after her graduation from the Tennessee Law Enforcement Training Academy.
Starting his career in medicine, upon which he served as a line medic and instructor after attending Middle Tennessee State University, Emrick joins Brentwood's police force. Through his high-stakes assignments in Germany and South Carolina, he's garnered honors like the Expert Field Medical Badge, demonstrating a level of precision and dedication to his craft. Both Davis and Emrick are currently honing their law enforcement craft in Brentwood's Field Training Program, post their joint graduation from the academy.
