The SARX Global Pedal Jam Community Bike Event is set to offer a full day of outdoor fun on Saturday, August 16, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., taking participants on a 10-mile circuit from Brooklyn Park to the Coon Rapids Regional Dam Park and back.
According to an announcement from city promoters, cyclists of all ages and skill levels are invited to join in on this community-oriented occasion. It's slated to be more than just a ride; organizers have planned to also include music, dance, games, and even Zumba to keep energy levels high. The cost to participate is marginally affordable, with adults paying $10 and kids paying $5, while toddlers under two years old can joyfully join for free.
What's more, the day promises to be not only about physical fitness but also informational. Participants can expect to find local organizations tabling to provide health information, alongside the more celebratory aspects like food truck stations. "Bring your bike, helmet, friends, and family! Enjoy scenic routes, pit stops, refreshments, and giveaways," the event call details.
Notably, the city of Brooklyn Park is careful to clarify that while this Pedal Jam is happening within its bounds, it does not officially sponsor or endorse the event. The promotion falls under a policy that allows for non-City events to be publicized so long as they conform with certain standards.
