
Authorities are on the lookout for an individual connected to a grand larceny incident that took place in Brooklyn earlier this week. According to a social media post from NYPD Crimestoppers, on Monday around 6:50 P.M., a 30-year-old woman fell victim to a theft as an unidentified person snatched a chain from her neck. The crime occurred in front of 10 Montieth Street, which falls within the jurisdiction of the NYPD's 83rd Precinct.
The suspect is reported to have approached the woman from behind and, without warning, perpetrated the theft. After the act, the suspect was seen fleeing eastbound on Monteith Street. Witnesses reported that the person made their escape aboard a motorized scooter, blending quickly back into the city's bustling environment. NYPD Crimestoppers have requested that anyone with information should come forward to assist in the investigation.
