In Charlotte County, a local eatery has garnered significant recognition for its contribution to the business landscape and community well-being. Chris Lansdale, owner of the popular chain Beef 'O' Brady, has been honored with the Excellence in Business Award. This accolade, given by the Charlotte County Economic Development Office, acknowledges Lansdale's investment in the area's growth and the establishment's benevolent acts toward local causes.
Under Lansdale's guidance, what started as a humble 3,000-square-foot pub has expanded into a 12,000-square-foot community cornerstone, with a second location opened in Deep Creek in 2021 and another in the works. According to a statement obtained by Charlotte County’s news release, the team at Beef 'O' Brady’s stands out not just for their business operations but for their significant financial support to local initiatives, amounting to over $160,000 to date.
This contribution has had a broad reach, sponsoring a variety of local efforts such as school fundraisers, youth sports, veterans’ groups, and local nonprofits. The approach taken by the restaurant's team is encapsulated by a simple yet impactful philosophy: "If we can help, we will." This ethos has evidently resonated with Charlotte County Economic Development Director Kay Tracy, who presented the award.
Kay Tracy emphasized the symbiotic relationship between business success and community prosperity. "Beef 'O' Brady’s has shown that business success and community success go hand in hand," she stated, a sentiment echoed in the official announcement. The establishment is revered not only as a venue for dining but also as a trustworthy community partner, thanks in large part to its foundation of relationships, trust, and heart.
