Police said the man, 31-year-old Colton Padjen, was riding a dirt bike with his son when he did not stop at a stop sign and was hit by another vehicle. Both were taken to the hospital and are expected to survive. The road was closed for investigation, according to CBS News Sacramento.

Fox40 reported that Colton Padjen and his son were taken by ambulance for medical treatment. The Citrus Heights Police Department stated that their investigation indicates alcohol was a factor in the crash. Felony DUI charges will be requested against Padjen.
