Calling all Clayton County families: The future of community leadership and skill-building kicks off next month with the 4-H Open House. According to a recent announcement by Clayton County's official site, the event is scheduled for Friday, August 2, from noon to 3 PM. It's a prime opportunity for 4th through 12th graders to dig into a range of clubs, offering anything from gardening to sewing.
The Clayton County Extension Services at 1262 Government Circle, Jonesboro, GA, will host the event. Children and teens will have the chance to uncover passions and, develop skills that extend far beyond the traditional classroom setting. In a statement obtained by Clayton County's official site, "Learn about our exciting specialty clubs for 4th–12th graders, including gardening, cooking, horse club, public speaking, sewing, and more."
Registration is now open for the upcoming open house, and advance sign-up is required on the event’s website. Families are encouraged to attend this informative event, which offers more than just a look at local clubs—it’s an opportunity to explore programs that support youth from adolescence through adulthood. The official statement invites: “Bring the whole family—we can’t wait to meet you!”
