The Columbia Heights Police Department has issued a plea for public assistance in locating 16-year-old Karen Ruales-Coraizaca, who has been missing since June 15. According to a social media post by the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, Ruales-Coraizaca is 4 feet, 11 inches tall, weighs approximately 120 pounds, and is distinguishable by her black hair and brown eyes.
Investigators report that Ruales-Coraizaca had been residing at a relative's home in Isanti before her disappearance. While having left on June 15, she did maintain phone contact with her mother, yet has withheld information on her current location. Authorities suspect she could be with friends unknown to the family. Standing at a diminutive stature, it is hoped by the investigators that the public might more easily identify Ruales-Coraizaca.
The young girl's absence has raised concerns among the local community and law enforcement. The Columbia Heights Police Department urges anyone with knowledge of Karen Ruales-Coraizaca's location to come forward. "Anyone with information on Karen Ruales-Coraizaca’s whereabouts is urged to contact Columbia Heights Police Department dispatch at 763-427-1212 or call 911," states the public alert.
