In a concerted clampdown on criminal activity, the Dallas Police Department's Gang Unit spearheaded an operation in the West End district on June 20, which saw multiple arrests and confiscation of illegal drugs. In a collaborative effort that highlighted the department's resolve to clean up the streets, the Central Business District (CBD) Task Force was a critical component in the bust, with additional support from the Central Patrol and DART PD officers.
"Our mission is about more than making arrests. It’s about keeping the City safe," Assistant Chief Catrina M. Shead underscored, per the Dallas Police Department. Reflecting this sentiment, the operation successfully led to six individuals being taken into custody, with the seizure of various drugs ranging from methamphetamine to PCP. The details of the arrests and the drug quantities have been detailed by the Dallas Police Department in their official press release. Some of the individuals apprehended included 38-year-old Kevin Lawrence and 25-year-old Trevon Freeman, carrying charges related to drug possession and theft, respectively.

Among those is the case of 42-year-old Lindsay Blackwell, who was caught with an amount of a controlled substance that constituted a third-degree felony.
