
The Detroit Police Department, in search of answers following a fatal shooting on July 8, is calling on the community for assistance. The Detroit Rewards TV reports that the incident occurred in the vicinity of East Outer Drive and Van Dyke Road, where Michael Davis was fatally shot by three men around 3:30 a.m. These men, dressed in all black, escaped in a dark gray Chevrolet sport utility vehicle, which was noted for its dark rims.
A reward of $5,000 has been announced for information leading to the advancement of the investigation. Wearing all black, the three suspects were observed fleeing in the SUV after firing multiple shots that mortally wounded Davis.
Those with any information regarding the shooting are encouraged to come forward by contacting the Detroit Police Department's Major Crimes Division at 313-596-5260, or anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-Speak Up, or the DetroitRewards.tv website, as per the statement obtained by CBS News Detroit.
