
Dollywood theme park celebrated the grand reopening of its long-standing Blazing Fury ride this 4th of July weekend. The City of Pigeon Forge Fire Department joined in on the festivities, marking a resplendent start to America's Independence Day celebrations in the heart of Tennessee.
Having thrilled adventure-seekers since 1978, Blazing Fury has undergone a significant refurbishment to ensure its fires burn brightly for years to come. According to a social media post by the City of Pigeon Forge Department of Tourism, the upgrade includes "a returned waterfall, new character costumes, new signage, track work and more." The ride, steeped with history and memoirs, is poised to continue its legacy of creating thrilling memories for guests of all ages.
In sync with the spirit of the 4th of July, Pigeon Forge extended a holiday greeting full of festive cheer. "Happy Independence Day to all of you from us here in Pigeon Forge. We hope you have a festive, fun, and safe day," the post read. The local Patriot Park was also geared up to host the annual Patriot Festival, inviting guests to cap off their day with a headlining performance by the country star Dylan Scott, a move likely to draw an enlivened crowd.
