
The Douglas County Sheriff's Office is actively investigating a stabbing incident in Castle Pines that left one dead and one critically injured. The event unfolded on Sunday, near the 1300 block of Sweet River Circle, as per Douglas County Sheriff's Office. Deputies were dispatched to the scene following a distress call about a stabbing in progress, arriving at around 11:36 PM.
Upon their arrival, deputies confronted a dire situation, forcing entry into the apartment where they discovered one victim unconscious, who was later pronounced dead at the scene from apparent stab wounds. A second victim was found suffering from a serious arm injury, according to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office. Efforts to save the victim included deputies applying a tourniquet to stop the bleeding before the individual was transported to a hospital, their condition being critical but stable.
Douglas County Sheriff's deputies quickly identified the suspect involved in the stabbing, 18-year-old Messiah Williams. Williams was located in an open space south of the residence, swiftly taken into custody without further confrontation. The investigation has led authorities to believe that all individuals involved were related, indicating that this may have been a domestic dispute. The public has been assured that there is no further threat following the incident.
