Early morning commuters in Orlando faced significant delays after a crash on Interstate 4 near Kaley Street, resulting in a three-mile traffic jam. The incident occurred around 6:15 a.m., and while details of the wreck were sparse, it managed to snarl the eastbound flow into downtown Orlando, as reported by ClickOrlando.
The situation had begun to clear by 7:30 a.m., with traffic cameras revealing that three of the eastbound lanes were reopened. Even as crews continued the cleanup and investigation, this squeeze on the city's arterial roadway rippled disruptions far beyond its asphalt veins. According to WFTV, the Orlando fire and police departments were on the scene, managing the crisis and guiding bewildered motorists away from the tense stretch of the interstate.
For those still navigating the morning's challenges, alternative routes were suggested. The I-4 Express lanes offered a detour, while exits such as Conroy Road, leading to Orange Blossom Trail, were recommended for those already caught in the congestion.
