Two stabbings have left residents in east Charlotte on edge, as authorities delve into the separate incidents which occurred within a 24-hour span. According to WBTV, one individual sustained life-threatening injuries following an altercation at a local Walmart prior to 9 p.m. yesterday. The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police have yet to disclose motives or whether an arrest has been made. Meanwhile, officers were seen meticulously gathering evidence at the crime scene cordoned in the Walmart's parking lot.
The Walmart, located on Albemarle Road near the Harrisburg Road intersection, was quickly attended to by MEDIC units, who transported the victim to a hospital due to the severity of their injuries. A further incident occurred hours before, just before 2 a.m. According to WSOCTV, another stabbing took place on North Sharon Amity near Kimmerly Glenn Lane, also resulting in life-threatening injuries. It was here authorities managed to detain a person at the scene, captured on video in handcuffs.
In both cases, the suspects' and victims' identities remain undisclosed.
