The National Weather Service in El Paso has issued its latest forecast, indicating a week filled with fluctuating weather patterns for the region. El Paso residents should expect an intermix of rainy conditions accompanied by thunderstorms, followed by periods of sunshine and escalating temperatures towards the weekend. The NWS detailed forecast includes a high of 96 degrees today, with rain and thunderstorms likely before 2 pm, then turning mostly sunny but still holding a 60 percent chance of precipitation throughout the day. According to the National Weather Service, new rainfall will measure less than a tenth of an inch, though thunderstorms could bring higher amounts.
Tonight, the chance of showers and thunderstorms continues to persist, mainly before 2 am, with an anticipated low around 72 degrees. As the week progresses, Tuesday also carries a 50 percent chance for showers and thunderstorms. The forecast seems to steadily climb temperature-wise, reaching nearly 100 degrees by Friday. Despite the likelihood of rainfall, thunderstorms, and partly cloudy evenings, El Paso is set to experience a hot weekend with Saturday's highs potentially breaking into the triple digits.
Moving through the week, Wednesday appears to promise a brief respite with mostly sunny skies and a high near 94 degrees. However, the rain isn't expected to hold off for long, with Wednesday night again seeing a chance of partly cloudy skies and a low of 72 degrees. As we look towards the latter part of the week, the NWS forecast predicts that Thursday will be sunny with highs nearing 98 degrees, giving residents a taste of the more typical El Paso heat.
The temperatures are predicted to continue their upward trend with Friday and the weekend ahead expected to sizzle. Friday's highs are set to reach near 100 degrees, with sunny skies throughout the day. Overnight lows will settle around a warm 75 degrees. Should individuals plan outdoor activities or errands, it's advisable to stay hydrated and protected from the sun, especially as Saturday's temperatures surge even higher, anticipated to peak around 101 degrees. That heat is expected to carry over into Sunday, promising much of the same with highs near 100 degrees once more.
