No lanes will be closed during the filming, but safety measures will be in place. Special duty police will be present between the film crew and regular traffic. Drivers should expect slower speeds, down to about 30 mph. The filming permit allows for 4 to 5 passes within a 4.5-hour period, as reported by the Hawaii Department of Transportation.
Drivers on H-3 may experience brief traffic holds of 3 to 5 minutes on Wednesday morning to allow a film crew to enter the freeway safely. The Hawaii Department of Transportation approved the temporary closures to support film production while maintaining safety.
