Last Friday, Fairfield, California, had more action than usual when a man was arrested due to a combination of vehicle and drug-related offenses. The official social media post from the Fairfield Police Department reports that at around 12:43 am, officers spotted a vehicle with no visible license plates near South Watney Way, which led to the discovery that the car had been reported stolen and the arrest of the driver, Charles Kelly, who is 44 years old.

According to the Fairfield PD's statement, upon detaining Kelly, they found a substance believed to be crystal meth and a pipe on him. In addition, Kelly was driving on a suspended license, and further investigation found that all VINs had been removed from the vehicle.

The sole remaining VIN on the vehicle provided officers with the needed confirmation that the vehicle had been reported stolen to the Vallejo Police Department.

Kelly's streak of legal troubles didn't end there as he was booked into County Jail facing multiple charges for the receipt of a stolen vehicle, drug possession, driving under the influence, and driving with a suspended license.
