On Sunday, a man's unconscious state on Pittman Road in Fairfield led to an unexpected discovery. Fairfield's police officers, responding to the scene, found more than just a man in need of medical attention. According to a Facebook post by the Fairfield Police Department, they uncovered an elaborate mail theft and fraud operation.
The Fairfield Police Department's social media reveals that Tung Che, now identified as the proactive man, was on probation with a search clause at the time of his discovery two days prior. A search of Che's vehicle revealed a cache of stolen goods, from bags of stolen mail to fraudulent checks. Notably, the stolen goods primarily originated from Santa Clara County, a detail that could suggest a targeted spree.
It was during Officer Anderson's interview that Che confessed to his crimes. The outcome was Che's arrest and subsequent booking at the Solano County Jail for multiple offenses. The charges against him are serious and reflect the gravity of his alleged undertakings.
