A tragic car collision in Morrison County has left one person dead and caused significant disruption, the Morrison County Sheriff's Office confirmed on their website. The accident, involving a 2010 Toyota Prius and a 2016 Ford F-450 truck, took place at the rural intersection of 30th Street and 120th Ave, just south of Bowlus on July 11, 2025.
The Sheriff's Office reported that the Prius, driven by Juan Rodriguez, 25, of Tampa, FL, was traveling westbound on 30th Street when the vehicle failed to adhere to the stop sign and collided with the Ford F-450, the truck, managed by William Anderson, 37, of Fulda, MN, was coming from the south on 120th Ave, resulting in both vehicles overturning and landing in a ditch. Amidst the chaos of twisted metal and broken glass, a power pole was also struck and toppled, leading to utility disruptions.
In the aftermath of the violent crash, Rodriguez had to be extricated from his vehicle by the Bowlus Fire Department, while first responders attempted life-saving measures, but, regrettably, these efforts proved to be in vain as Rodriguez was pronounced deceased at the scene, as per the official statement from the Sheriff's Office. Meanwhile, Anderson emerged from the incident without injuries.
