A late-night collision in Interbay between a motorcycle and a pedestrian has led to a fatality and serious injuries. As reported by the Seattle Police Department Blotter, the incident, involving a 32-year-old male motorcyclist and a female pedestrian, occurred shortly after 11:20 p.m. yesterday near 15th Avenue West and West Newton Street. Patrol officers cordoned off the site to facilitate the inquiry, creating a scene typically marked with the somber reality of an unexpected and tragic roadway event.
Evidence and reports from witnesses at the scene indicate that the motorcyclist had been traveling at a high rate of speed northbound on 15th Avenue West when he struck the female pedestrian, she apparently had just stepped off a transit bus and was crossing the street westbound at the time of the incident.
