In Houston, a white Ford Escape veered off the road and crashed on Flower Garden Lane. Police responded to the scene at 1900 Flower Garden Lane shortly before 7 a.m. yesterday, where the vehicle was found submerged in a retention pond after striking a tree and landscaping rock and going over a curb, as reported by the City of Houston.
According to the Houston police report, the sole occupant of the Ford, a 40-year-old man whose name is withheld until formal identification can be confirmed by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences, was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
The HPD Vehicular Crimes Division, led by Sergeant K. Harris and Officer A. Hart, continues to investigate the circumstances that led to this incident.
