Moderate to locally breezy trade winds are expected in Honolulu over the next few days, with limited showers mainly in windward and mauka areas. Later in the week, winds may weaken, allowing for typical leeward sea breezes and a possible increase in showers, according to the National Weather Service.

Trade winds are continuing across the Hawaiian Islands due to a surface high north of the area. A shortwave may briefly affect the winds, but "latest model guidance still supports a return of stable summertime trades during the latter half of the week as the aforementioned troughs to the northwest weaken." Breezy conditions are expected to return later in the week. VFR conditions are likely across most areas, including Honolulu, with some MVFR conditions possible in windward and mauka areas. A Small Craft Advisory remains in effect until on Wednesday evening for waters around Maui County and the Big Island due to strong easterly trade winds expected through Thursday, as reported by the National Weather Service.

South and some west-facing shores will see continued surf through the weekend due to southerly and southwesterly swells. East-facing shores will have small, choppy waves, and north-facing shores will see little activity. Minor coastal flooding is possible during high tides, especially in Maui County and the Big Island. Dry weather is expected to increase fire risk in leeward areas. The National Weather Service stated, "Latest KBDI values for the Honolulu International Airport (HNL) have exceeded 600 threshold and will remain elevated above that threshold until significant rain occurs."
