Starting the week of July 7, East Horsetooth Road is about to get a little shake-up with concrete repair work kicking off between South College Avenue and Stover Street. According to the City of Fort Collins, we're looking at 2-3 weeks of potential traffic snarls, assuming the weather decides to play nice.
During the construction, which falls between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. from Monday to Friday, lanes will close and shift, but they've warned us that work might extend outside these times and into the weekends to quickly finish up the project. If you want to smoothly navigate your daily commute, you might want to start planning some alternative pathways now.
The Street Maintenance Program, which is behind these improvements, has said that although drivers will need to be ready for some changes, they won't have to worry about reaching local businesses, as access won't be interrupted.
