Fort Collins is gearing up to bring families a day of outdoor fun with its upcoming Kids in the Park event. Scheduled for July 25, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., the free gathering at Twin Silo Community Park promises an array of activities to keep the community engaged and entertained. Twin Silo, located at 5552 Ziegler Road, will be transformed into a playground for the city with recreation opportunities, live music, and food favorites available from local trucks.
According to the City of Fort Collins, the event is a collaboration with Elevations Credit Union and will feature lawn games, bounce houses, and a Touch-A-Truck experience that kids are sure to eagerly explore. To truly kick back and enjoy, attendees will also be treated to live music and the spectacle of giant bubbles, a simple joy that, perhaps, adults need just as much to lightly remember the whims of childhood.
LeAnn Williams, Director of Recreation for Fort Collins, expressed her enthusiasm for the upcoming event. "Kids in the Park is an incredibly special day in Fort Collins," she said, emphasizing the value of community gathering and shared experiences. "We couldn’t be more excited to provide the community with an opportunity to get outside, enjoy each other’s company, and experience everything our beautiful parks and recreation programs have to offer," Williams told the City of Fort Collins.
