As Frisco gets ready to put on its patriotic best for its annual Freedom Fest, residents can expect some traffic disruptions this evening. Most roads within Hall Park are slated for closure from 7:30 to 11 p.m. to accommodate the Party in the U.S.A. 5K race and the fest’s various events at Kaleidoscope Park. The City of Frisco has provided a full breakdown of the road closures, advising office workers in affected areas to relocate their vehicles by 7:30 p.m. to avoid being unable to exit until the roads reopen.
Network Boulevard will be one of the affected thoroughfares, with closures starting at 7:30 p.m., alongside most of Internet Boulevard. The restrictions mean that access to Hall Park buildings or parking lots situated west of Internet Boulevard or south of Network Boulevard will be cut off. Event-goers should plan to park in one of the two designated garages, which will be accessible only from Gaylord Parkway after the indicated time.
The city has also pointed out that traffic around the Hall Park Hotel will be limited, but hotel guests and visitors can still reach the parking garage and valet service via Warren Parkway and a southward turn on Internet Boulevard. For those attending the 5K or other activities at Kaleidoscope Park, parking will be available at the specified garages illustrated in the map provided by the city. Car owners should take note that vehicles parked in unauthorized areas after the closures could end up being stuck until the event wraps up at 11 p.m.
