The city of Gahanna is gearing up for an Independence Day celebration that promises both pomp and party. On the eve of July 3, the Gahanna Municipal Golf Course will morph into a festive ground, with sounds, tastes, and visual splendors designed to stir the patriot within. According to an official announcement on the City of Gahanna's website, the evening is set to commence with live tunes from local favorite Nat and the Boys, followed by the electric vibe of Session Five.
The prelude to the pyrotechnics includes a gathering of food trucks, rolling in to serve up an array of culinary delights starting at dusk and dinner time. Kemba Financial stands named as the presenter of the night's festivities, with G&J Pepsi backing as a sponsor, edging the air with anticipation of what's to come. Residents and visitors alike are encouraged to bring their own chairs and blankets to settle in for a night that culminates at 10 p.m., with a fireworks display forecasted to illuminate the skies and perhaps the eyes of those who look upon it.
But the revelry is split into a two-day affair. The morning following the fireworks will see the streets adorned anew for the Independence Day Parade. The beloved community tradition, as it's fondly called, presented by the Gahanna Lions Club, will see floats and local dignitaries parading down Granville Street after stepping off from Clark Hall at 10:30 a.m. This procession promises another layer of communal fabric, a tapestry of celebration that ties the night before to the light of day.
